Ely Cohn

Ely is a member of the MBA Class of 2013 concentrating in general management. Prior to attending McCombs, Ely was a managing partner at Honeydrop Beverages, a startup beverage company based in New York City and distributed in the natural foods channel. At Honeydrop, Ely functioned in a collection of ever-changing managerial roles in helping to build the brand from infancy to nationwide distribution. Prior to Honeydrop, Ely was a 2007 Teach For America Corps member where he devoted two years to teaching students from a low income community in Los Angeles.

Ely earned his BA with highest honors in 2007 from the University of Texas at Austin. At McCombs, he is president of the Graduate Business Wine Club and a member of the Entrepreneur Society and MBA Soccer Club. Ely enjoys interacting with entrepreneurs, learning about wine, snow skiing, and exploring the city of Austin.
